Samantha "Sami" S.,
Hammond, Louisiana
Our Fourth Tony's Room Child

Sami is a 7-year-old girl in Louisiana who was diagnosed with AML M2 Leukemia with Central Nervous System disease in July 2009. She is currently being treated at New Orleans Children's Hospital. Sami has a very hard time walking up the flight of stairs to get to her bedroom as her chemo and steroid treatments have left her bones brittle and susceptible to fracture. She has Osteopenia, a disease which makes her bones like that of an 80-year-old. Since Sami's bone marrow transplant in November 2009, she has fought back hard from the brink twice — battling liver failure and Graft-versus-host disease.

Tony's Room Foundation is hoping to find local building contractors in the Hammond, LA area willing to build a ground floor bedroom and bathroom for Sami to live in and for her Mom to help care for her.

Your support for Tony's Room Foundation will help to make all this possible for Sami and her family.
